Socio-economic and environmental drivers of green innovation: evidence from nonlinear ARDL
نویسندگان
چکیده
The adoption of green technology is imperative to realise sustainable development. Considering the same, this study explores drivers Green Innovation (GI) based on theoretical foundation Triple Bottom Line (environmental, social, and economic factors) with integration information communication technologies (ICT) institutional governance (INST) in Pakistan. This employs a nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) framework quarterly data from Q1-1996 Q4-2019. results reveal that positive shocks human capital (HCI) instigate GI by 1.05%, while negative shock undermines 0.93%. Similarly, carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions increase 0.63%, any 0.01%. On other hand, ICT leads 0.55% advanced GI; however, effect turned stronger shocks, which reduced 0.78% long-run. These confirm asymmetricity because HCI, CO2 emissions, instigated differently. Finally, INST GDP contribute enhancing 0.12% 1.69%, respectively. indicate Pakistan government should improve governance, adapt, focus practices promote technologies.
